It’s funny how rain can drag you down sometimes. Tears from the sky fall on your shoulders and this cosmic sorrow weighs heavily. The world looks grey and cold and all you want is your bed to crawl into.
But on rare moments rain is just a pleasant shower that won’t wash away your happiness.

I think they look good together – they complement each other. Nice illustration style.
I prefer the left one because it seems to leave more to the imaginatiion. (I did not even notice you had spelled “r-a-i-n” at first. It also reminded me of the scene from Fantasia of Dukas’ Sorcerer’s Apprentice… which I just heard on the radio. They do work perfecty well as a pair, though.
Yeah, I think I like the combination of the two as well! Two very different feels, but stylistically very much alike.

These are fun and experimental. I like both of them, but I think the blue one is my favorite because I like the very limited color palette.
